Viridian Cannabis Investment Conference in Florida Packs the House (New York, N.Y., June 24, 2016) – On June 8th, Viridian Capital Advisors held its third event in the Viridian Cannabis Investment Series, this time in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Entitled “Investing in the Cannabis Industry While Managing Risk”, this event attracted over 325 attendees comprised of investors looking for education and opportunities in the cannabis industry, executives of best-of-breed cannabis companies, industry experts and advocates, and others looking to capitalize on the opportunities in this rapidly growing market.
Leading companies from some of the fastest growing sectors in the cannabis industry presented at the conference, including Agriculture Technology, Laboratory Testing, Media, Real Estate, Infused Products, Security and Compliance, Biotechnology, andConsumption Devices.
The day event was followed by a more intimate evening event with the Wharton/University of Pennsylvania Alumni Club of South Florida. The evening session educated the alumni organization on the opportunities and risks in the cannabis industry through panel sessions with industry experts and executives from our presenting companies.
We were also proud to hold a press conference with United for Care and Dr. Sue Sisley, MD, in front of a room full of military veterans, where the topic of cannabis and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) was discussed.
