Mark Shadwick LLB, LLM, Barrister (England & Wales) has 24 years’ experience as a director of Cayman Islands-registered hedge funds and is a CIMA Approved Director under the Cayman Islands Directors Registration and Licensing Law 2014. Mark was a director & compliance officer of a licensed Cayman Islands trust company and director services company from January 2000 to December 2004, where he gained extensive director experience with funds and SPV’s. Since 2004 he has served as an independent director on the boards of Cayman- and BVI-domiciled funds. He has experience with a wide range of hedge fund strategies including: an award winning Long/Short European equities fund (with ESG focus), Global Macro, Japanese equities, distressed debt and real estate. Mark holds an LLB degree in Business Law and an LLM Masters degree in Law awarded with Merit from the London School of Economics (LSE). He qualified as a Barrister (England & Wales) in 1997 and is admitted as an Attorney-at-Law, Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, 1999.
