David S. Goodboy is an American financial writer and the founder of The Palm Beach Hedge Fund Association.
He was a partner at Eagles View Asset Management, a Manhattan based hedge funds. At Eagles View, he worked in concert with the founder Neal Berger, who is the second top performing hedge fund manager in the world in 2022.
David is featured for for being a “gatekeeper” at Donald Trump’s Mar A Lago per the book The Grifters Club by noted authors Sarah Blaskey, Nicholas Nehamas, Caitlin Ostroff &Jay Weaver
He is noted for founding the Palm Beach Hedge Fund Association, which is a trade organization for the investor, hedge fund, and financial community in South Florida. The group has experienced phenomenal growth to nearly 2000 members over the last decade.
He has also been quoted in global media including The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, Newsweek, the New York Times, and the Washington Post.
Mr. Goodboy held the position of stock editor/journalist at Tradingmarkets.com, an active web based financial educational company and content provider for Yahoo Finance.
In this role, he was published daily on the home page of Yahoo Finance and had his thoughts and market views distributed worldwide in a variety of languages. During his tenure at Tradingmarkets.com, David conducted a series of interviews with over 50 hedge fund managers, traders, economists, authors, academics and financial rouges.
This position was leveraged to gain access and introductions to many of the financial world’s top talent resulting in a solid start into the hedge fund business. His views and articles are published widely across the web on a variety of blogs and sites under his own byline and as a ghost writer for several financial luminaries.
His latest book, geared toward retail investors, in the age of high frequency trading and computer driven algorithms, Beat The Machines, was recently published to rave reviews.
Earlier, David worked on the team that developed the world’s first broker owned media outlet–E*Trade On-Air where he also served as a daily stock commentator, stock picker with Jonathan Hoenig and Kate Bohner, previously of CNBC, for a nationally syndicated radio program via Infinity Broadcasting.
David resides on Palm Beach Island with his wife, ex Canadian Central Banker & Professor of Finance, Dr. Anna Pomeranets, son and daughter. In his spare time, he can be found fishing, kayaking and boating on the local waters.
